Gravity
Gravity, contrasts the body’s vulnerability in both self and sexuality, measured against time, space and the power of physical and societal constraints. The mixed media work in this collection uses the disassembled sculpture work, “Abstract in White, Green, Black, Blue, Red, Grey and Pink c1963”, of artist Victor Pasmore b.1908-1998, as symbols to convey internal organic growth through shattering the expectations of self and sexuality in society. The work communicates the process of continually discovering and accepting oneself both with physical changes of self and loss of balance while discovering and participating in the vibrant colorful sexual journey.
